3- Intended Learning Outcome :-

a- Knowledge and Understanding :-

a1- Define/explain/compare/contrast concepts and terms concerning software lifecycles, phases of the Information Systems development project and conceptual models (data, process, object-oriented) as deliverables of Analysis phase. 

a2- Compare and contrast the use of different techniques (structured, prototyping, JAD, Object-Oriented) to construct conceptual models. 

a3- Use Structured English, Decision Trees and Decision Tables for specification and documentation. 

a4- Use graphical representation tools including Context- System-, and Child-level DFDs to construct process models to analyse system requirements.

a5- Apply Object-Oriented concepts & UML notation to construct and graphically present various diagrams for Object-Oriented systems analysis. 

a6- Summarise the characteristics of a good requirements specification. 

a7- Evaluate different design alternatives. 

a8- Summarise the characteristics of good SW design and good UI design.

b- Intellectual Skills :-

b1. Perform comparisons between models and alternative solutions.

b2. Select the suitable tools, methods and techniques for modeling and analysis.

b3. Determine the cost and benefit of proposed solution.

b4. Optimize both analytical and transactional processing.

b5. Perform problem analysis for assembled data and information,derive and validate requirements specifications from an  understanding of problems.

c- Professional Skills :-

C1. Specify, investigate, analyze, design and develop computer-based systems using appropriate tools and techniques.

C2. Design efficient computer based information systems.

C3. Use a CASE-tool to enhance & facilitate this process.

d- General Skills :-

d1. Be capable of applying both traditional and new concepts and skills.

d2. Manage tasks and resources.

d3. Use an appropriate mix of tools and aids in preparing and presenting reports for a range of audiences, including management, technical, users, industry or the academic community.

d4. Reveal communication skills, public speaking and presentation skills, and delegation, writing skills, oral delivery, and effectively using various media for a variety of audiences.
