3- Intended Learning Outcome :-

a- Knowledge and Understanding :-

Students who complete the course will have the ability to :-

a1- Understand the basic theory and techniques in numerical linear algebra.

a2- understand the algorithms for matrix factorizations.

a3- Understand the algorithms for solving systems of linear equations (direct and iterative methods).

a4- Understand the algorithms for solving linear least squares problems.

a5- Understand the algorithms for solving eigenvalue problems and singular value problems.

b. Intellectual Skills :-

Students who complete the course will have the ability to :-

b1- Manipulate the matrix computation software (e.g. Matlab).

b2- Implement basic numerical linear algebra programs.

b3- Design and implement efficient solvers for systems of linear equations, linear least squares problems and eigenvalue problems.

Knowledge of the concepts and material presented in this course will provide the students with practical know-how to : -
