a- Knowledge and Understanding :-

Students who complete the course will have the ability to :-

a1-  Recognise the security threats against computer systems, and have at least a high-level idea of the ways to address them.

a2-  Apply techniques and design principles underlying security solutions, including aspects of cryptography and security protocols.

a3-  Analyse simple security protocols using a formal method.

a4-  Identify and enquire current issues in computer security.

a5-  Use the World Wide Web to research the latest security alerts and information.

b-Intellectual Skills :-

Students who complete the course will have the ability to :-

b1-  Identify and analyze common threats and vulnerabilities of software and web applications.   

b2-  Classify and analyze common threats and vulnerabilities of network and systems. 

b3-  Suggest and evaluate major countermeasures to software and web application, network and system attacks.

b4-  Critically evaluate and convey information and theory in order to solve specific security related problems of a technical or organizational nature.

c-Professional and Practical Skills :-

Students who complete the course will have the ability to :-

c1-  Deal with complex issues in computer security both systematically and creatively.

c2-  Make sound judgments in the absence of complete data.
